Day four of being snowed in the house... in Texas....!
I was trying to coming up with some more unique Valentines for adults and this popped in my head. I first used a wood burning tool I received as a wonderful gift from my mom (Available at Hobby Lobby) to burn two small hearts on the back of a wooden spoon. (Not necessary but just an added touch)
I used a clear party sack to place the spoon in. I would have loved to use cute confetti...but again I am snowed in. I decided to cut a half of a piece of red tissue paper into squares for the filling. I attached a cute circle tag with a ribbon and my gift was ready to go!
I have seen some really cute chocolate coated spoons (plastic) on several blog sites. Those could easily be placed in cellophane and tagged with the same clever saying.

This is a cute idea. I am in Texas as well. I know exactly how you felt. I was stuck inside last week, too.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I do something similar with whisks. You just insert wrapped candies into the whisk, wrap with cellophane, tie a ribbon, and add a card that says "Whisking you a wonderful Valentine's Day!" I have also done this for other holidays and for party invitations. For the invitations, I put "Whisking you would join us for a party for..." and add the information for the party. People always love this kind of stuff!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute idea. Good luck at Bacon Time.
